Protecting Equal Opportunity in Colorado

This year our team is going to talk to people all over the state about Economic Justice, and more specifically focusing on the Racial Wealth Divide and Equal Opportunity issues. We’ll be doing workshops all over Colorado to raise awareness about the wealth gap and to tell people about all the great things they can do with us to fight it.

Some of our goals for this upcoming spring as it relates to educating people about Racial Wealth Divide and protecting equal opportunity in our state include:

• Conducting 30 Racial Wealth Divide/Equal Opportunity Trainings across the state.
• Training 120 Equal Opportunity activists to talk about Racial Wealth Divide in their communities and serve as spokespeople for the campaign. Also, these activists will learn how to lobby their public officials about the issue.

We have opportunities for our members to develop and help implement the outreach plan around the campaign. People are needed to help us create posters, run our “Facebook” campaign, or co-facilitate training sessions.
