We’ll have the latest campaign updates and will share information about how to get involved with protecting Equal Opportunity in our community and throughout Colorado, registering voters, and working to spread the word about our statewide Racial Profiling Hotline. 2. Next Racial Profiling Task Force Meeting – Monday April 14th, 5:30- 6:30pm at CPC's Greeley office (1403 2nd Street)
This exciting Task Force, created at our first Chapter Meeting, works to spread the word about our statewide Racial Profiling Hotline, coordinate Know Your Rights trainings for youth and immigrants, and connect this work to efforts to ensure police accountability. ** Please Note and Distribute: Our State-wide Racial Profiling Hotline Number is: 1-866-329-0908. The Colorado Racial Profiling and Police Discrimination Hotline is a statewide service for people who face ongoing police racial and ethnic profiling. This hotline provides assistance in filing official complaints, identifying legal resources and recording incidents to further the fight against police discrimination.
3. Voter Registration Volunteer Dates/Times:
Registering voters is fun and exciting and we need your help to reach our goal of registering 2,600 new voters this year! We’ll be registering voters at local grocery stores, businesses, clinics, and community events, as well as going door-to-door. We have one more weekend planned for April (see below). We’ll meet at our Greeley office (1403 2nd Street), and will begin with a short (20-30 min.) training for any volunteers who need it:

4. Ya Es Hora Citizenship Workshop – Saturday April 19th 10am- 4pm at Billie Martinez Elementary School (341 14th Avenue)
We’re proud to be working together with local and statewide coalition partners to host this important workshop for people needing assistance with completing citizenship application documents. Immigration attorneys and volunteers will help people with the applications, and information on immigrants’ rights will also be available.
Volunteers (especially those with bilingual Spanish/English skills) are needed to provide assistance to the attorneys working with people, facilitate movement to different work stations, help with refreshments, etc.
