Internship Opportunity
Voting Rights Intern
|
Colorado Progressive Coalition is looking for interns with a passion for civil rights and social justice to join and help build the movement for positive social change.
CPC organizes one of the largest voter outreach programs in the state, and conducts non-partisan voter education drives so that more low- and middle-income people, communities of color, LGBTQ people, and young people are represented in our democracy. CPC registers thousands of new voters, conducts voter education to tens of thousands about ballot initiatives, organizes Get Out The Vote drives, and works to push elected officials to advocate for a more progressive future for Colorado. CPC works to educate, engage, and build democracy for those communities and constituencies that are most often left out of the political process.
The voting rights intern will be responsible for advancing CPC’s statewide civic engagement program in Northern Colorado. This includes registering voters and participating in get-out-the-vote efforts, training volunteers to register voters, and expanding the reach of CPC’s voter program in Weld and Larimer Counties. |
