Dear CPC Members and Allies:

Whether you're uninsured, underinsured, or anxiously insured, you know that our health care system is broken.  While President Bush coldly vetoes children's health insurance and the free market Independence Institute puts its head in the sand, the rest of us know that now's the time to work for progressive health care reform.  Colorado has a rare opportunity to be a leader in this fight.  Please read on to see how you can help.

CPC, your organization, has held 40 community forums across Colorado this year, talking with over 1,000 people about how you can get involved in the fight for progressive health care reform.  With fierce opposition from the insurance industry, the only way to make this happen is for our voices to be heard.

Below you'll find the schedule of public hearings for the Blue Ribbon Commission for Health Care Reform, a state legislature initiated process.  This is a great opportunity to make your voice heard in the health care reform fight.  It's up to us to make sure that the those making reform recommendations to our legislators are informed of - and accountable to - the real issues and needs of Coloradans.

If you’re interested in attending a hearing in your community, please reply today!  We will get you a special information packet, including background materials, a CPC pin, and our progressive health reform vision and values.  While our members will be at hearings across Colorado, CPC leaders will be at the hearings in Boulder, Denver, Greeley, Fort Collins, and Golden, and we’d love to meet you there.
